David and Penney Parkes volunteer to act as invaluable resources to newly diagnosed families. "We help them celebrate and commiserate their successes, disappointments and triumphs," David asserts. The Parkes' son, Eric, has TSC. David and Penney always wished they could do more in the way of financial support for the TSC Alliance. When they were updating their estate plans, they realized there was something they could easily do: leave a gift to the TSC Alliance Endowment Fund in their will. "It was actually a 'no brainer,' because it was so simple to do," says Penney. "Now we know that long after we are gone, our money will still support the TSC Alliance."
