Donate for a Tax Advantage

In February 1999, grandparents Philip and Marion Winsor made a gift of $100,000 to the TSC Alliance Endowment Fund in the form of a charitable gift annuity. The Winsors made a decision to create a charitable gift annuity in order to achieve two objectives: to benefit from the enormous tax advantages of such an arrangement, and to make sure that their money was where they really wanted it to be. After considering several possible recipients including their alma maters and favorite charities, they chose the TSC Alliance Endowment Fund because their granddaughter has TSC. They chose it because of their admiration for the organization, finding it to be an invaluable resource for medical information about the disease and because of the support it gives to affected families.
