Will and Kay Cooper

TSC Research Helps Other Diseases

Abigail and Amelia, the twin granddaughters of Will and Kay Cooper of Newport Beach, California, both have TSC. Following their diagnosis at six weeks old, Will's investigation into the disorder led him to a TSC Alliance board meeting in Houston. He says that meeting made him realize how TSC affects many of the body's systems. Besides helping their granddaughters, Will and Kay believe further TSC research may also help find a cure for cancer and many other diseases. A $25,000 pledge to the TSC Alliance Endowment Fund paid over 5 years, allowed the Coopers to name the fund in honor of their daughter Carrie, who died at age 27 from asthma-related complications. Will and Kay have also become members of The Eternal Flame Society by setting aside a portion of their estate to benefit the TSC Alliance Endowment Fund. They believe that being successful in business enables them to donate to the TSC Alliance Endowment Fund, and they encourage their friends to do the same.
